A few updates
10th January 2008
We're currently working on a brand spankin' new website for VPSA and have been way way busy with that (learning all this computer language makes our heads hurt) But once it's done, we're sure there will be more than a few "Wow!"s, there might be three of those... It'll be easier to use, and have way more stuff that you can play with to keep yourself busy! Eat your heart out YouTube!
Happy New Year!
1st January 2008
VPSA would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, and all the best for the coming year! It's bound to be fantastic!! Take care, and play it safe! We look forward to seeing you all back at uni :D
A few important notices, oh yeah, and exams...
12th October 2007
Like you guys and girls, we've been busy studying for our exams like
good students (whoops, did we say studying? we meant "studying" ;)),
anyway, since this awesome website was last updated, a few things have
been happening.
Firstly, before you start thinking about exams, think about our
Booze Cruise! Yep, that's right, a cruise with booze! Important
details:
When: 12th November, 7pm departure (arrive at 6.15pm for pizza)
Where: New Quay, Water Front City Marina, Docklands (Melway: 2E, D5)
How much: $20 for VPSA members, $30 for non-members (further $5 MCC discount)
Tickets are on sale NOW! See your year level VPSA reps for tickets!
Secondly, the presentations from the Information Night we recently held about pharmacy overseas are now available for download in our
downloads section. Check them out!
And last but not least, the AMH 2008 order forms are available! They're on sale for VPSA members only for $105. See your year level rep for more info!
Semester 2, so tell me, what acts of awesomeness do we have?
25th June 2007
Settled back into the uni life? Ready to hit the books? No? That's fine,
because neither are we. SO! As you guys all know, our night of nights is
coming up, ALLIED HEALTH NIGHT!!! We've decided to put the rumours to rest
(sorry, but no jumping castle, but we'll keep that idea in mind for next
year's).
When? 8pm Thursday, 9th of August
Where? GPO
How much? Ranging from $10 to $20 (read below for details)
Tickets are on sale NOW, so see your lovely (if they're not lovely,
tell us, we'll make them lovely) VPSA committee member for tickets. Ticket prices
start at $20, and for each card you have - that is, MCC or VPSA card, not a library
card - you get $5 off the price. So what does that mean? If you have either card,
it'll cost you $15. If you have BOTH cards (wow you're so cool!) it'll only be $10
But hey, it's a bargain either way!
Remember though, places are limited, so
get your tickets asap! Oh, did we mention drink cards are included in the price?
Well they are, which makes ALLIED HEALTH NIGHT EVEN BETTER!
Holy leaping leap frogs Batman! The exams are here!
4th June 2007
We here at VPSA hope you're all studying hard and preparing for your
exams! And if you're not, don't worry, still plenty of time to cram
on the train to Caufield.
Anyway, Allied Health Night is getting closer and closer! Let's show
those med students (yes, that might be a real med student) how to party!
It's going to be a great night (the best ever actually...). And the
venue... one word... WOW! Just wait and see. Watch this space!
IPSF Congress
27th April 2007
IPSF Congress is fast approaching and the registration is open.
For those of you who haven’t heard of IPSF, this congress is the
biggest international gathering of Pharmacy Students and takes
place each year. The conference is a congregation of members of
the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation reprsenting up
to 40 countries whereby the business meeting of the federation
takes place (known as General Assembly) as well as social and
educational events over a ten-day period. IPSF Congress 2007 is
being hosted by Taiwan in mid August (7-16th). For those of you who
attended NAPSA congress... add a few extra days, add accents and
an international theme and you have IPSF Congress.
For details on what’s happening at the event visit www.IPSF2007.org

We want your feedback! Got something that you'd like to say, but you don't know who to go to or are just too plain shy?
Feel like there's something that needs to be said??? Be it about uni, VPSA, the course itself, or monash, whether it's academic, social or otherwise?
VPSA now offers a completely anonymous service that lets you send your thoughts to a committee moderated inbox, where we can discuss your issues and hopefully bring some resolution.
